Friends, we are barely more than 100 days into 2017 and the U.S. has already seen 4,061 gun deaths (as of 4/17), including 167 under age 11, and 826 between 12 and 17.

June 2 is Wear Orange: National Gun Violence Awareness Day. Last year more than 500 influencers, corporations, non-profit partner organizations, and elected officials, and hundreds of thousands of Americans, participated in the second annual National Gun Violence Awareness Day. Wear Orange was inspired by friends of Hadiya Pendleton, a 15-year-old Chicago high school student killed by gunfire, who decided to honor her life by wearing orange – the color hunters wear in the woods to protect themselves and others.
