In 2024, Democrats needed to gain four House seats to win control of the House. What happened? Democrats succeeded in flipping nine seats, but Republicans flipped eight. As such, Republicans remain in control of the House.

We cannot afford to make the same mistake again.

Heading into 2026 (and under the current maps), Democrats need to gain three House seats to win a majority. That requires flipping at least three seats, and at the same time, making sure our new House members who flipped their seats in 2024 keep them in 2026.

Please join the JAC in supporting five of the most vulnerable new Democratic members of congress—all of whom flipped their districts in 2024 with margins under 3%:

(1) George Whitesides (CA-27)

2.66% margin | 7,990 votes

(2) Laura Gillen (NY-4)

2.29% margin | 8,603 votes

(3) Josh Riley (NY-19)

2.21% margin | 8,357 votes

(4) Derek Tran (CA-45)

0.21% margin | 653 votes

(5) Adam Gray (CA-13)

0.09% margin | 187 votes

All five frontline House members are strong new members of congress who support JAC's pillars. All four can win re-election with JAC's support.
