Contribution rules
- I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
- I am at least eighteen years old.
- I certify that this contribution is being made from my own personal funds, is not being reimbursed in any manner, and is not being made as a loan to the committee.
- The address I have provided is my residential address and not a P.O. Box.
Contributions are not deductible for federal income tax purposes. In accordance with New York State law, James for NY 2026 will accept no more than $18,000 for the current election cycle ($9,000 for the primary/$9,000 for the general) in contributions for the 2026 election from individuals, unincorporated unions, political action committees, and unincorporated trade associations. Partnerships that contribute in excess of $2,500 total over the course of the cycle will be required to specifically identify the partner(s) responsible for the contribution(s), and the attributed amount will be counted against each partner’s individual contribution limit. Total contributions from a corporation or LLC may not exceed $5,000 per calendar year in the aggregate to all New York state and local candidates and committees. It is strictly prohibited to reimburse another individual’s or entity’s contribution. All contributors must be either US citizens or permanent resident aliens (green card holders).
