Contribution rules

  1. I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
  2. I am at least eighteen years old.
  3. This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.

I nor any members of my immediate family, nor any entity which I own or control is the subject of an investigation or prosecution (enforcement actions) of alleged violations of law by the NYS Attorney General’s (AG) office that is currently pending or has been resolved within the last twelve months. 2. I personally, nor any members of my immediate family, nor any entity which I own or control has a matter pending a decision by the AG’s office or has had such matter resolved within the last 90 days. 3. I personally, nor any members of my immediate family, nor any entity which I own or control is currently suspended or debarred from doing business with the State of New York. 4. I personally, nor any members of my immediate family, nor any entity which I own or control is (1) currently responding to a Request for Proposal or other procurement issued by the AG's office for any dollar amount; or (2) has had a proposal submitted or approved for a Request for Proposal or other competitive; sole-source; or single-source procurement directly with the AG’s office for $100,000 or more within the last twelve months. 5. I nor my spouse/domestic partner are (1) an employee (or intern) of the AG's office, or has submitted an application for a position with the office in the last three months; or (2) an appointee or cross-designee of the AG, including special prosecutor or Assistant AG, or a member of any board, commission or authority that the AG may appoint or designate; nor presently has such an such appointment or designation pending at this time. 6. This contribution is made from my own funds; and this contribution is not being made as a loan. I was not, nor to the best of my knowledge, was anyone else, reimbursed in any manner for this contribution. 7. If I am an attorney, I do not currently represent a client that is the subject of an investigation or prosecution of alleged violations of law by the AG's office. Contributions are not deductible for federal income tax purposes. In accordance with New York State law, James for NY 2026 will accept no more than $18,000 for the current election cycle ($9,000 for the primary/$9,000 for the general) in contributions for the 2026 election from individuals, unincorporated unions, political action committees, and unincorporated trade associations. Partnerships that contribute in excess of $2,500 total over the course of the cycle will be required to specifically identify the partner(s) responsible for the contribution(s), and the attributed amount will be counted against each partner’s individual contribution limit. Total contributions from a corporation or LLC may not exceed $5,000 per calendar year in the aggregate to all New York state and local candidates and committees. It is strictly prohibited to reimburse another individual’s or entity’s contribution. All contributors must be either US citizens or permanent resident aliens (green card holders).
