Jamie Murphy is currently serving as State Representative representing the town of Weymouth.
Since 2019, Jamie has served as the Chairman of the Joint Committee on Financial Services which oversees legislation concerning financial matters, insurance law, emerging technologies, and health care.
Prior to his election, Jamie served as an Assistant District Attorney in Suffolk County. He has also served as a criminal defense attorney, as well as an Attorney and Judicial Clerk at the Massachusetts Appeals Court working on statewide civil and criminal appeals. He graduated from Boston College High School, Merrimack College, and earned his Law Degree from Suffolk University Law School.
Jamie lives in Weymouth with his wife Mary Ann, who is a front line nurse in Boston. They are raising their two children; daughter, Maeve and son Liam.
