Belsito for Congress 2026

Jamie Belsito is a maternal health champion, who has been fighting for us on Beacon Hill and in DC for years. Now, we are sending her to congress to fill the open seat in the 6th District (North of Boston).

Jamie draws on her own experience with postpartum depression after the births of her daughters, bringing her policy experience to advocate for meaningful maternal mental health support at the state and federal level. Jamie served as a State Representative, championing maternal mental health support and pregnancy loss leave that were passed in the 2024 Maternal Health Omnibus Law. She has also served for many years on the Ellen Story Postpartum Commission in Massachusetts, and her work led to statewide screening. Jamie founded the Maternal Mental Health Leadership Alliance in 2019 to advocate in DC, achieving $86.5 Million in critical funds for state programs and a national maternal mental health hotline. She has helped introduce and pass legislation to address maternal mortality, racial disparities in maternal health care, mental health support access, and substance use treatment programs.

Jamie is a Democrat who won’t back down. She will fight for healthcare, for equality, and for good union jobs that built America’s middle class. Jamie lives in Topsfield with her husband and two daughters. Help get maternal health champion Jamie Belsito to DC!
