Jane Fonda, renowned for her trailblazing career in film and activism, will be joining us to share her insights on the climate crisis, political advocacy, and the power of grassroots movements. Known for her steadfast commitment to women’s rights, Native American rights, and environmental justice, Jane has made a lasting impact on both the screen and the world stage.

She is a seven-time Golden Globe® winner and was honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Award in 2021. Fonda also recently accepted The Harry Belafonte Voices for Social Justice Award at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival.

Jane Fonda has proven her ability to spark activism on climate and a host of other issues. Inspired by Greta Thunberg’s call to treat the climate crisis “like our house is on fire,” Fonda shifted her focus to combatting the climate crisis full-time. Her latest book, “What Can I Do? My Path From Climate Despair To Action” details her personal journey with the movement and provides solutions for communities to combat the climate crisis. 

To build on this work and expand the impact to the electoral sphere, Fonda started a PAC dedicated to electing climate champions at all levels of government. Her recent work, focusing on climate action and electing climate champions, aligns with Melissa Demyan’s commitment to social, racial, and economic justice in Washington.
