Aloha, I’m Janel Fujinaka, a proud Hawaiʻi-born resident living in Makiki, and I am running for State House District 26, representing Makiki, Punchbowl, Papakōlea, and Tantalus. I’m running because working families across our community deserve a stronger voice at the Capitol, one that understands the real cost of living, the importance of safe neighborhoods, and the need for compassionate, people-first solutions.
I believe leadership should begin with the people: listening to residents, supporting our kūpuna, protecting local jobs, and making sure families can afford to stay in the neighborhoods they call home. This campaign is about putting community before special interests and delivering results that reflect our shared values. It’s powered by local voices, not big donors, and focused on building a future where every family in District 26 can thrive.
