Amanda Janoo is running for Governor because she believes this is the moment to take a courageous step in transforming the political and economic future of Vermont.

Born and raised in rural Vermont, she understands the pressures Vermonters face, from rising housing and healthcare costs to stagnant wages, and has dedicated her career to building people-centered “wellbeing economies” that prioritize affordability, meaningful work, and strong public services. 

A graduate of Cambridge University, Amanda has worked with governments nationally and internationally to design transformative economic strategies, define long-term goals, and rethink how progress is measured.

This campaign is rooted in a simple belief: Vermont deserves more than managed decline—we deserve a hopeful vision for the future and a path to get there together. Amanda Janoo’s campaign for Governor is guided by three core values:
