I'm Running for Wicomico County Democratic Central Committee

Friends, my name is Jared Schablein, and I was born and raised in Wicomico County.

I founded Shore Progress, the Eastern Shore’s largest progressive & political organization.

Together, we have helped elect over 55 people to local office. We built it from scratch. No corporate money, no political machine, just working people organizing together.

I’m running for Wicomico Democratic Central Committee because our local party needs rebuilding. We have to stop being reactive, stop limping from election to election, and start acting like an organization that can win.

My focus is simple:

• Reconnect the party to working people

• Rebuild our volunteer and donor base

• Run professional operations and enforce party rules consistently

• Recruit serious candidates early

• Increase turnout in municipal and county races

• Restore financial health and transparency

This is not about a title. It is about building a party that shows up year-round and wins.

To do that, I need to win this race first.
