Meaningful change doesn't happen through conventional process. It's time for fresh perspectives at City Hall, and my time in both small business and nonprofit has taught me that any challenge can be overcome if you're creative enough.
Campbell's prodigious use of reserves to balance the budget is unsustainable. We can't make a habit of letting emergencies force tax hikes like Measure K, thus further inflating the affordability crisis. We need to better foster an environment that encourages tax-generating businesses to come to Campbell, stabilizing our revenue base without raising tax rates.
