

Pete Aguilar has represented California’s 33rd District since 2015 and has served as the chair of the House Democratic Caucus since 2023. He is the highest-ranking Latino in Congress. Aguilar previously served as the mayor of Redlands, CA, from 2010 to 2014 and as the president of the Inland Empire Division of the League of California Cities. Aguilar’s time in Congress has focused on immigration, job creation, gun violence prevention, reproductive freedom, and environmental protection. The San Bernardino attack in 2015, where terrorists killed 14 people and injured 22, occurred in Aguilar’s district, and Aguilar denounced Trump’s use of the attack to promote his Muslim ban. He has also reiterated his continued support for Israel, standing with those affected by the October 7 attack.
