Melissa Bean (IL-08)

Melissa Bean grew up in Des Plaines, Illinois, and previously represented IL-08 for three terms (2005-2011) as part of a Democratic majority that worked to deliver real results. In Congress, she helped pass the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, Wall Street reforms, and the Affordable Care Act. Melissa Bean is running to once again represent Illinois’ 8th District in Congress to be a fighter for working families. She is an experienced leader who will fight to restore democracy, healthcare, and our economy, so everyone has a chance to live the American Dream.
