Rep. Suzanne Bonamici (OR-01)

Suzanne Bonamici has been serving as the representative of Oregon’s 1st Congressional District since 2012. Previously, she served in the Oregon State Senate and Oregon House of Representatives and worked as a consumer protection attorney at the Federal Trade Commission. In Congress, Bonamici has fought for environmental conservation, public education, and small businesses. As a Jewish Democrat on the Education and Workforce Committee, she has been a vocal advocate against Trump’s efforts to weaponize antisemitism. Bonamici vows to protect Jewish students, demanding that the Early Childhood and Secondary Education Subcommittee (ECESES) must “do more to protect Jewish students and Jewish Americans who are threatened, harassed, and attacked because of who they are.”
