Rep. Nikki Budzinski is a fighter for working families. After graduating from college, she went on to work with a number of labor unions nationwide and stood up for collective bargaining and ensured union members were getting all the benefits they were entitled to. As an advisor to Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, Budzinski was a key player in raising the Illinois minimum wage to $15 an hour and also helped expand broadband access across the state. She built on this important work in the Biden administration as Chief of Staff for Biden’s Office of Management and Budget, where she oversaw the implementation of the American Rescue Plan. She was elected to Congress in 2022, where she advocates for workers and the people of Illinois. Rep. Budzinski serves on the House Committee on Agriculture, the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, and sits as Vice-Chair of the Congressional Labor Caucus. JDCA endorsed Rep. Budzinski in 2022 and 2024.
