Rep. Janelle Bynum (OR-05)

Representative Janelle Bynum has represented Oregon’s 5th Congressional District since 2024. She previously served in the Oregon State Legislature, and she is also a small business owner. As a state representative, she spearheaded legislation expanding access to mental health, improving youth voter engagement, and supporting women of color in the workplace. Rep. Bynum's priorities in Congress include lowering the cost of housing, ending homelessness, and expanding access to healthcare. Rep. Bynum understands the importance of supporting our allies, including Israel, and supports robust funding for programs like the Nonprofit Security Grant Program and other programs to keep Jewish communal spaces safe. JDCA endorsed Rep. Bynum in 2024.
