Rep. Katherine Clark (MA-05)

Democratic Whip Katherine Clark has represented Massachusetts’ 5th District in Congress since 2013. She is one of only two women to serve as Whip and is the highest-ranking woman in Congress. As a legislator, Clark has focused on ending wage discrimination, protecting reproductive rights, expanding access to affordable child care, ending gun violence, and guaranteeing paid leave. Prior to serving in Congress, she worked as a state senator, state representative, member of the Melrose School Committee, general counsel for the MA Office of Child Care Services, and policy chief for the MA Attorney General. Clark is a strong advocate for Israel’s security and has been backed by numerous Jewish and Israel advocacy organizations since her start in politics.
