

Jim Clyburn has represented South Carolina’s 6th Congressional District since 1992. During his time in Congress, Clyburn has served as the House Majority Whip and Assistant Democratic Leader. He was the first African American to represent South Carolina since 1893. Clyburn has been an advocate for healthcare reform, increasing the minimum wage, banning offshore drilling, and transitioning from fossil fuels. Clyburn advocates a two-state solution for Israel that demands the release of the hostages and peaceful coexistence in the region. He frequently uses his platform to speak out against antisemitic and hateful acts across the country.
