Cait Conley (NY-17)

Cait Conley is a decorated combat veteran and national security expert. Conley is a fourth-generation Hudson Valley native and the daughter of a postal worker and a construction worker. She attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, graduating in the top 2% of her class. Conley served for 16 years as an active-duty Army officer, deploying to combat zones, and becoming one of the first women in Special Ops leadership. She has been awarded three Bronze Stars. In the Biden Administration, she served as the Director for Counterterrorism on the National Security Council (NSC), later working on safeguarding critical infrastructure and election systems for the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). Conley supports a two-state solution as “the only viable long-term path to ensure Israel remains a secure, democratic Jewish state while Palestinians achieve legitimate aspirations for self-determination.” Conley won her primary 22.4 points ahead of her nearest opponent and will face current Rep. Mike Lawler, one of the most vulnerable Republican incumbents, in the general election.
