Rep. Joe Courtney (CT-02)

Rep. Joe Courtney has served as the U.S. representative for Connecticut's 2nd Congressional District since 2006. Prior, Courtney served as a Connecticut state representative from 1987 to 1995 and as the Vernon town attorney from 2003 to 2006. Rep. Courtney prides himself on his ability to serve “as an independent voice” for his constituents. While serving as a state representative, he was honored as the “Democrat Most Admired by Republicans” by Connecticut Magazine. In Congress, he has supported numerous pieces of pro-Israel legislation to promote normalization agreements between Israel and Arab states, condemn BDS, and reaffirm U.S. support for a two-state solution. JDCA endorsed Rep. Courtney in 2022 and 2024.
