Rep. Maxine Dexter (OR-03)

First elected to Congress in 2024, Representative Maxine Dexter is a physician with a background in pulmonary and critical care medicine. Previously, she served as a member of the Oregon House of Representatives from 2020 to 2024. Her priorities in Congress include healthcare access, addressing homelessness and addiction, and protecting our democracy. Dexter is a strong advocate of a two-state solution and supports a negotiated ceasefire, the return of all hostages held by Hamas, and an increase in humanitarian aid to the region. She is committed to strengthening hate crime laws, increasing tolerance on campuses, and promoting policies that protect marginalized communities. JDCA endorsed Rep. Dexter in 2024.
