Rep. Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07)
Representative Lizzie Fletcher, elected in 2018 after working at a Houston-based law firm, became the first Democrat in over 50 years and the first woman to represent Texas’ 7th District. In office, Rep. Fletcher has championed initiatives to strengthen healthcare by lowering costs and expanding coverage. She introduced the Expand Medicaid Now Act, which was signed into law as part of the American Rescue Plan Act. Rep. Fletcher has also prioritized environmental protections and energy policy, gun violence prevention, civil rights, and reproductive freedom. Rep. Fletcher is a strong ally to Israel and the Jewish community. JDCA endorsed Rep. Fletcher in 2024.
