

Rep. Lois Frankel represented Florida’s 22nd district in Congress from 2013 to 2017, Florida’s 21st district from 2017 to 2023, and Florida’s 22nd district again since 2023. Prior, she served 14 years in the Florida state legislature, where she became the first woman Democratic Minority Leader, and she was Mayor of West Palm Beach. She became a leading force to improve the economic condition of families and seniors, as well as protecting human rights and reproductive freedom – fights she continues today in Congress. Rep. Frankel’s priorities also include standing with Israel and combating antisemitism. Since October 7, she has been a leading voice in calling for the immediate release of hostages, security assistance to Israel, aid to civilians in Gaza, and condemnation of the use of sexual violence. She was the lead sponsor of H. Res. 966, Condemning rape and sexual violence committed by Hamas in its war against Israel. JDCA endorsed Rep. Frankel in 2024.
