Representative Val Hoyle was first elected to Congress in 2022. Prior, she served as Oregon’s Labor Commissioner, a state representative, and a local community leader. Hoyle has spent her career fighting climate change, raising wages, and passing reforms like paid family leave. Hoyle hopes to continue fight climate change by moving America to a 100% Clean Electricity standard, increasing the minimum wage to $15 an hour, and passing the PRO Act to strengthen workers’ rights. Rep. Hoyle serves on the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and the House Committee on Natural Resources. JDCA endorsed Rep. Hoyle in 2022 and 2024.
