State Representative Lindsay James has been serving her community for her entire career – first as a chaplain, a Presbyterian minister, and then in the state legislature. She has been a strong, steady advocate for everyday Iowans and has championed the idea that the government should serve the people, not the powerful. In the Iowa state legislature, James earned a reputation as a bridge-builder and an unwavering defender of Iowa families. She co-founded Iowa’s first bipartisan, bicameral caucus, breaking down barriers between Republicans and Democrats to solve real problems. She fought to expand access to affordable insulin, protect mobile home residents from predatory corporate landlords, and champion affordable housing and mental health care for communities across the state. James has also won red districts multiple times. James is running for Congress to ensure that no child, farmer, or family is left behind. Her campaign prioritizes bringing down the cost of living, supporting Iowa’s farmers, aiding veterans, and ending government corruption.
