
Representative Teresa Leger Fernandez has been serving her community as a member of the House of Representatives since 2021. Prior to entering elected office, Rep. Fernandez worked in the Department of Housing and Urban Development and advocated for bolstered access to health clinics and affordable housing. In Congress, she has focused on investing in clean energy, upgrading our nation’s infrastructure, environmental conservation, and improving educational outcomes for children in New Mexico. Rep. Fernandez continues to push for progress and development in New Mexico and across the country. She strongly supports a two-state solution, opposes the BDS movement, and supports U.S. aid to Israel pursuant to the 2016 Memorandum of Understanding. JDCA endorsed Rep. Fernandez in 2022 and 2024.
