Representative Seth Magaziner was first elected to Congress in 2022. Prior, he served as Rhode Island’s General Treasurer, where he invested in education, job creation, and clean energy infrastructure. When he chaired the state’s school building task force, Magaziner led a statewide school construction initiative that created over 28,000 jobs and repaired over 200 schools. He launched an innovative clean energy financing program that helped cities and towns build out solar, wind, and climate resiliency projects. He also helped pass the Reproductive Privacy Act in 2019, as well as common-sense gun measures like banning guns on school grounds and a red flag law. In Congress, his top priorities include protecting democracy, combating gun violence, and expanding the Affordable Care Act. JDCA endorsed Rep. Magaziner in 2024.
