Sen. Ed Markey (MA)

Senator Ed Markey has served as the senior United States senator from Massachusetts since 2013 and previously represented the state in the House for nearly four decades. A progressive champion in Congress, Sen. Markey is best known for co-authoring the Green New Deal and leading on climate action, environmental justice, and clean energy policy. He has been a vocal advocate for reproductive freedom, affordable healthcare, and combating gun violence. He is a ranking member on the Committee on Small Business & Entrepreneurship, and he sits on the Committee on Environment and Public Works and the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. Sen. Markey has prioritized fighting hate and antisemitism, and he is a strong supporter of the U.S.-Israel relationship. JDCA endorsed Sen. Markey in 2020.
