

Rep. Jared Moskowitz is a former Florida State Representative and Broward County Commissioner who also served as Florida’s Director of Emergency Management, where he oversaw the state’s COVID-19 response. He was elected to represent Florida's 23rd Congressional District in 2022. His main policy priorities are gun control and Israel. A Marjory Stoneman Douglas alum, he touts his success in passing bipartisan legislation in Florida to increase the age to purchase assault weapons and implement “red flag laws.” Since October 7, he has led efforts to secure aid to Israel and combat anti-Israel sentiments in the U.S. Rep. Moskowitz is a strong advocate for reproductive rights, protecting the LGBTQI+ community, and combating climate change. JDCA endorsed Rep. Moskowitz in 2022 and 2024.
