
Jeremy Moss is running for Rep. Haley Stevens’s current district. Moss is a lifelong Oakland County resident. In 2011, he was elected to the Southfield City Council where he was the youngest-ever member and in 2015 was elected to the Michigan legislature where he held leadership positions in the State House and Senate. He successfully led the campaign in 2022 to flip the Michigan Senate to a Democratic majority for the first time in 40 years. As State Senator and President Pro Tem of the Michigan Senate, Moss passed gun safety legislation and legislation to restore labor rights. In 2023, he sponsored the most bills signed into law of all State legislators. Moss has long been outspoken against antisemitism, calling it out on both the left and right. In Michigan, he has strengthened hate crimes statutes to pursue those who target groups with acts of violence or desecrate religious institutions.
