Bobby Pulido is a lifelong South Texan, small business owner, and award-winning Tejano artist who is running in one of the newly drawn congressional districts. He considers himself pro-life, but believes it’s not his place to tell others what to do and that Texas’s abortion ban is “draconian.” Pulido’s position on immigration is distinct from most Democrats – he agrees with Sen. Lankford’s proposal to restrict asylum seekers, but increase the number of green cards issued. His campaign prioritizes strengthening the economy, lowering costs, supporting small businesses, ending Trump’s trade war and tariffs, boosting education, and expanding access to healthcare. Pulido has expressed his concern over the rise of antisemitism and the connection between Israel’s actions and increased antisemitism, which he hears about in his district.
