Representative Emily Randall was born and raised in a union household in the Kitsap Peninsula. She has focused her career on expanding access to affordable health care, including at Planned Parenthood. After President Trump was elected in 2016, she decided to run for office and flipped a Republican state senate seat to help Democrats win control of the Washington state government. In the Washington Senate, she led the passage of landmark legislation to protect abortion access, expand Medicaid, and improve apprenticeship programs. She continues to defend democracy and fight for our personal freedoms in Washington and across America. JDCA endorsed Rep. Randall in 2024.
