Representative Josh Riley was elected to Congress in 2024, flipping New York’s 19th District from red to blue. Previously, he served as an attorney and worked as a Hill aide under Rep. Maurice Hinchey, Sen. Ted Kennedy, and Sen. Al Franken. He was also a policy analyst in the Department of Labor. In these roles, he has worked to raise the minimum wage, secure worker protections, and strengthen social safety nets. In Congress, Rep. Riley’s priorities include strengthening the middle class, protecting Medicare and Social Security, and defending democracy. JDCA endorsed Riley in 2022 and 2024.
