Eliott Rodriguez (FL-27)

The son of Cuban immigrants, Eliott Rodriguez is a 40+ year journalist and former CBS Miami anchor. His priorities include lowering living costs, expanding workforce housing, reducing prescription drug prices, strengthening Social Security and Medicare, and investing in infrastructure and mass transit. Earlier this year, he criticized South Florida’s Republican congressional delegation over immigration policy, saying “I’m the son of Cuban immigrants who came to this country for opportunity and a chance at the American dream [...] Secure borders matter, but so does due process and our Constitution. When our leaders stay silent as these rights are trampled on, that silence is not leadership.” Rodriguez has stated his unwavering commitment to combating antisemitism and that he will support organizations, programs, and initiatives dedicated to combatting antisemitism, protecting Jewish communities, and educating future generations. Rodriguez also discussed the importance of Israel as an “indispensable strategic ally” and that the U.S.’s long-term goal should be a two-state solution with both Israelis and Palestinians living in peace
