Representative Deborah Ross has served in the House since 2021. Prior, she served as a member of the North Carolina House of Representatives and was the Director and lead attorney of the North Carolina ACLU. As a civil rights lawyer, Ross advocated for fairness and justice, and in private practice, Ross has led the charge to promote a cleaner and greener energy future. She served as both Majority and Minority Whip in the NC House, where she focused on protecting voting rights, increasing access to affordable housing, and raising the minimum wage for state employees. In Congress, her priorities include lowering prescription drug prices, protecting Social Security, investing in infrastructure, and pushing for racial justice. She consistently fights for our values, and JDCA is proud to have endorsed her in 2020 and 2024.
