Governor Josh Shapiro served as Governor of Pennsylvania since 2023, delivering results and protecting fundamental freedoms. In his first term, he invested record funding into public education, ensured free breakfast for every student, expanded economic opportunity by eliminating degree requirements for most state jobs, and led the rapid reopening of I-95 after its collapse. He also signed automatic voter registration into law, strengthened reproductive rights, and fought to make government work more efficiently for working families. A proud Jewish American, Governor Shapiro often speaks about how his Jewish values guide his work, and he has been a strong voice against antisemitism and extremism. Before becoming governor, he served as Pennsylvania’s attorney general, where he defended voting rights, protected access to reproductive healthcare, held opioid manufacturers accountable, and oversaw the landmark investigation into sexual abuse in the Catholic Church. Governor Shapiro is running for reelection to continue building a stronger, fairer Pennsylvania for all. JDCA endorsed Gov. Shapiro in 2022 and for his candidacy in 2026.
