

Rep. Brad Sherman has served in the House of Representatives since 1997. He is a senior member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and a senior member of the House Financial Services Committee, and he has worked to strengthen the U.S.-Israeli alliance as the Co-Chair of the House Israel Allied Caucus and the most senior Democrat on the House-Knesset Parliamentary Friendship Group. Rep. Sherman has pushed for limiting U.S. support for Iranian industries, been an outspoken critic of Qatar for funding Hamas, advocated for the recognition of the Armenian genocide, and suggested sanctions for China’s treatment of Uyghur Muslims. Sherman is a Jewish member of Congress and advocates for Jewish issues by speaking openly about the rise of antisemitism in California.
