Darren Soto was elected to the Florida House at the age of 29, where he served for five years before he was elected to the Florida Senate, where he served for four years. During his nearly 10 years in the Florida Legislature, Soto worked to bring high-paying, high-tech jobs to Central Florida, protect clean air, land, and water, expand and protect health care, help families facing foreclosure, and improve education. Soto was first elected to Congress in 2016. Soto’s campaign focuses on “the three C’s: Lower Costs. Protect Our Care. Stop Corruption.” In Congress, he serves on the Energy and Commerce Committee and the Natural Resources Committee, where he fights to increase access to healthcare for all Americans, combat climate change, protect clean air and water, boost American technology and innovation, and protect consumers. Rep. Soto has been outspoken against antisemitism and in support of Israel. He is a cosponsor of multiple pieces of legislation and resolutions aimed at countering antisemitism, including the Holocaust Education and Antisemitism Lessons (HEAL) Act, and the Jewish American Security Act.
