
Rep. Greg Stanton was first elected to Congress in 2018 and currently serves as the U.S. representative for Arizona’s 4th Congressional District. Prior to his Congressional election, Stanton served for six years as the Mayor of Phoenix, where he focused on cutting carbon emissions and promoting LGBTQ+ equality. He also served on the Phoenix City Council. In Congress, Rep. Stanton has led efforts to protect the climate, focusing largely on water and climate resiliency. He is also a vocal supporter of LGBTQ+ rights and prominently champions the Equality Act. He supports promoting peace and security through the Abraham Accords, noted the benefits of the U.S.-Israel relationship for Arizona, and has voted to pass legislation affirming Israel’s right to protect itself at every turn. JDCA endorsed Rep. Stanton in 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2024.
