

Lori Trahan grew up in a working-class family with her dad as a union ironworker and her mom juggling part-time jobs. She was the first person in her family to graduate from college and spent a decade in public service working on Capitol Hill before transitioning to a tech company. She was elected to Congress in 2018 to expand economic opportunities for working families and now serves on the House Committee for Energy and Commerce and is co-chair of the Democratic Policy & Communications Committee. She has focused on protecting reproductive healthcare and public safety, strengthening infrastructure, and expanding economic opportunity. She is a strong advocate for advancing a two-state solution in the region and has spoken out against the weaponization of antisemitism and in support of tangible, actionable recommendations to combat antisemitism.
