Rep. George Whitesides (CA-27)

Rep. George Whitesides was first elected to Congress in 2024. He is the former Chief of Staff for NASA in the Obama administration and former CEO of Virgin Galactic. In these roles, he led innovation and reform in the space industry, including creating hundreds of jobs in the district. He also co-founded Megafire Action, the first organization dedicated to solving the nation’s wildfire crisis, and co-chaired the Antelope Valley COVID-19 Task Force to bring together stakeholders and support front-line workers. In Congress, he advocates for creating jobs, strengthening public safety, and expanding opportunities in California’s 27th District. JDCA endorsed Rep. Whitesides in 2024.
