With Jenna Figueroa Kettenburg In Trenton, Democracy isn’t Dead

I want to take this opportunity to thank my supporters and to answer their questions as well as the many questions my campaign has received from Trenton residents concerned with election integrity.

In what I thought was a routine challenge to candidate petitions, my campaign has uncovered facts that have shocked all of us in Trenton. When presented with the evidence that one of my opponents submitted petitions that consisted of over 90% invalid signatures, including petitions signed by at least two deceased voters, the Trenton Municipal Clerk rejected my campaign’s challenge to these signatures, choosing to certify the petitions without explanation.

The Trenton Municipal Clerk’s decision to certify the signatures of dead voters raises serious questions of election integrity that has sparked outrage throughout Trenton.

My campaign is determined to uncover the facts wherever they lead. To start, we have asked a judge to review the Trenton Municipal Clerk’s decision. All voters deserve to know elections are held with honesty, professionalism, and integrity. I hold myself and my campaign to these standards. I expect no less from Trenton’s city leaders.

As I have pledged from day one of my campaign, this isn’t politics as usual. If you’re satisfied with back room deals and the same old same old, I am not your candidate. If you believe it’s time that Trenton elects leadership with honesty, professionalism and integrity, I welcome your support.
