Jennifer Naperala

Campaigning is expensive. Can you help?

My job as a Councilperson will always be to remain trustworthy and to facilitate a city government that produces FOR US.

Trustworthy leadership begins with candidates who reject corporate donations. Furthermore, trustworthy leadership will be committed to projects that increase our quality of life, such as providing community infrastructure and access to leadership.

My faithful obligation to those of us who call Chesapeake home - and our best interests - will always be my guide.

Thus, my FOR US approach means our campaign will probably not receive donations from any special interest groups.

Unfortunately, that means I need to ask for your financial support, even when so many of us are struggling to make ends meet.

If we can raise $10,000 by the time we start knocking doors full-time (late June), we'll have handbills, signs, and a little advertising money.

Once we reach that goal, we'll look to a bigger outreach budget, hopefully to include mailers (big ticket item, but also an effective use of our funds).

My commitment to cultivating city government that produces FOR US will never be negotiable. We need a lot of money to get our voices at the table, and I humbly ask for whatever financial support you can provide.

Thanks so much.

Sincerely,

Jennifer
