Senator Jon Ossoff is the Senior United States Senator for the state of Georgia. Since his election, Sen. Ossoff has delivered upgrades to infrastructure, public health, public safety, and education for communities across the Peach State.
Sen. Ossoff passed into law his bill to supercharge domestic solar manufacturing as part of the biggest investment to fight climate change in American history, and he successfully took on the big drug companies to cap the cost of insulin for seniors at $35/month and empower Medicare to negotiate lower drug costs for the first time. The Senate also passed into law Sen. Ossoff’s bipartisan legislation to reduce violence, crime, and civil rights abuses in prisons. He has introduced legislation to protect the right to vote and ban congressional stock trading.
Born and raised in Georgia and mentored by Congressman John Lewis, prior to his election Senator Ossoff served as the CEO of Insight TWI, a media production company that investigates corruption, organized crime, and war crimes for international news organizations. Senator Ossoff and his wife, Dr. Alisha Kramer, live in Atlanta with their daughter Eva.
