Re-elect Mikal Goodman in Pontiac, Michigan! JanePAC is proud to support Mikal in his second-term bid for Pontiac City Council, District 3. This deceptively low profile race has big implications for the Great Lakes region and working people transitioning to a greener economy in greater Detroit.
In his first term as Councilman, Mikal opposed the April 2025 data center tax exemption law, arguing that it would increase energy and water consumption, likely deepening Michigan’s reliance on fossil fuels and jeopardizing the state’s clean energy goals. He opposes “Line 5” — a 645-mile oil and gas pipeline that transports petroleum products through the Great Lakes region via the environmentally sensitive Straits of Mackinac.
Mikal’s focus on polluter accountability, dedication to making Pontiac more climate resilient, belief in a just transition that preserves union jobs — and doing it all without bending the knee to Big Oil — make him the right climate leader for this community.
This is a write-in race, which means even $10 can buy a lot of visibility for Mikal. Help us elect this Pontiac climate champion by donating $10, $25, or $50 𝘥𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘭𝘺 to his campaign!
