As a legislative aide to State Sen. Mike Foote, Jake helped pass SB-181, which shifted CO government from fostering oil and gas development to regulating and giving local governments more authority over fossil fuel infrastructure.


Jake also publicly opposes Platte River Power Authority’s plans to install natural gas turbines; supported clean up and monitoring of benzene contamination near a local school and more.


He is adamantly opposed to new fossil fuel infrastructure and is very committed to pushing the local utility to invest in more renewables.
