Jim Wertz is a Dad, husband, teacher, and the chairman of the Erie County Democratic Party.


Under his leadership, Erie County, PA – America's bellwether – elected Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in 2020, among numerous Democratic successes. He is very active in the Erie community, serving on a number of community boards and advisory committees, as well as his decade long tenure as a contributing editor for the Erie Reader. He lives in the City of Erie with his wife, Kim, and their three children.


In 2024, Jim will be a candidate for Pennsylvania's 49th Senate District. He is grateful for your support.
