Join Rep. Justin J. Pearson for a Fundraiser in Maryville, TN with special guest Rep. Gloria Johnson!

Before entering elected office, Rep. Justin J. Pearson organized his neighbors to successfully stop the construction of a toxic oil pipeline that would have polluted the air and water in their Black working class neighborhood in Southwest Memphis. After Rep. Pearson stood up to the NRA gun lobby after a school shooting and Republicans expelled him from the State House, he was overwhelmingly reelected by his community. Rep. Pearson is challenging Elon Musk’s xAI data center being built in his district and is a strong voice speaking out about environmental racism, gun violence, and the affordability crisis.

After the Supreme Court’s Callais ruling, TN Republicans moved to hastily redraw the state’s congressional district which broke up what was previously a majority Black district representing Memphis and the surrounding area into three. We are now running in the new 9th district.

Today, Rep. Pearson is leading the frontline of a generational fight for democracy and Black political power across the South.
