While working families are struggling to make ends meet, Donald Trump is staging a $45 million military parade for his birthday — complete with fighter jets, armored vehicles, and ego-driven theatrics.


And that’s not all.


He’s sent the National Guard into Los Angeles — uninvited by the Governor — to turn a humanitarian issue into a political spectacle. ICE raids across California have swept up dozens of immigrants, while peaceful protesters have been met with tear gas and violence. Even Dr. Phil has been embedded with ICE agents. You can’t make this up.


This isn’t about national security. It’s not about patriotism. It’s about power. It’s about control. And it’s about distracting from the cruel policies Trump and MAGA Republicans are pushing behind the scenes:


  • Cutting SNAP benefits so families go hungry
  • Shutting down Job Corps programs that lift young people out of poverty
  • Slashing veterans' health care, even while wrapping himself in the flag
  • Targeting federal workers who keep our country running


You don’t get to wave the flag while shredding the safety net beneath it. I’m calling this what it is: authoritarian cosplay — a dangerous, made-for-TV spectacle meant to feed Trump’s ego while hurting the rest of us. Now I need your help to fight back.
