Help Build Our Movement

I’m running because so many of us are struggling to afford basics like housing and healthcare, our local businesses face unprecedented challenges, and community schools are under threat.

I’m so proud that Vermonters have worked hard to put our values into action with policies like Dr. Dynasaur, reproductive rights, shield laws, and our environmental protections.

But those protections are no good to our children if they can’t afford to stay here

We need to welcome families and make it easier to stay and thrive here. I have spoken with innumerable parents across the district whose adult children are living at home or couldn’t afford to stay in Vermont. Making space for every Vermonter needs to be an urgent priority for the Vermont state senate.

  1. As the parent of a trans teenager in our schools I know we need to center children, families, and communities in our education policy choices. They cannot be collateral damage.
  2. The small businesses that bring us together and make our main streets beautiful are struggling. Amazon is supporting ICE and building Trump’s ballroom. Vermont’s small businesses are funding our little league teams and sponsoring our pride festivals. It’s time we got their backs.
  3. I’ve been organizing with local leaders across the county for years. The state senate offers a unique position to build partnerships and coalitions to help towns listen, learn, and leverage our resources to support regional goals. I’d love to build on my trusted relationships with leaders across the county to facilitate those conversations and bring needed support to our communities.

My priorities are:

> Attainable Owner-Occupied Housing

> Affordable Primary Healthcare

> Community-Based Education

> Small Business Supports

Vermonters look out for each other. We show up. Whether it’s Covid, flooding, or stopping ICE from harming our neighbors, we take care of each other. That’s how we roll. We need to get back to putting those values into policy.

Vermont is our refuge and we need to protect it. Please help us build our movement.
