John is running to bring common-sense back to the legislature. His priorities include:
- Restoring and protecting a woman’s right to make her own healthcare decisions, particularly the right to have an abortion. John understands that the choice to have an abortion is deeply personal and difficult, and he believes the government should not impose extreme bans on this decision.
- Leading the effort to combat our community's flooding and other climate related issues by fostering proactive and creative solutions and engaging stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
- Addressing livability challenges, including rising costs of housing.
- Instituting common sense gun safety measures like universal background checks and closing dangerous loopholes.
- Bringing more infrastructure funding to the Lowcountry to repair our roads and bridges and reduce traffic congestion.
- Supporting law enforcement and other first responders.
- Protecting our natural resources so that future generations can enjoy our waterways, marshes, and beaches.
